Irrigation sprinklers being checked across a paddock

Irrigation System Assessment

A thorough check of your existing irrigation system. We find the leaks, faults, poor coverage and wasted water, then give you clear, prioritised recommendations.

Know where you stand

Is your system doing its job?

Many irrigation systems quietly underperform. Heads get knocked out of alignment, drippers block, pressure drops as a property grows, and schedules set years ago no longer suit the garden or crop. You often do not notice until plants struggle or the water bill jumps.

An assessment looks at the whole system, from the water source and pump through to every zone and emitter. We test pressure and flow, check coverage, inspect valves, filters and the controller, and review your watering schedule against your plants, soil and the season.

You get a clear summary of what we found, what needs fixing now, what can wait and where you can save water. Fixes can be carried out through our repairs and maintenance service, and the findings can be turned into a personalised irrigation manual for the property.

Find out what can be reused before investing in new zones, controllers or automation.

The process

How an assessment works

Pressure, flow and coverage are tested zone by zone, from the source to the furthest emitter.

Inspection

Valves, filters, pump, wiring and controller settings are checked for faults and wear.

FAQs

Common questions

What do I get at the end of an assessment?

A clear rundown of the system's condition, the faults found and our recommendations, prioritised so you can decide what to tackle first.

Will you just try to sell me a new system?

No. Most systems can be improved with repairs, better zoning or a controller upgrade. If replacement genuinely makes more sense, we will explain why and let you decide.

Can you assess large agricultural systems?

Yes. Martin has hands-on experience managing large-scale farm irrigation, and we assess orchard, vineyard and rural systems as well as home gardens.
